Search "SailPoint ISC training in Hyderabad" and you will find plenty of institutes selling SailPoint courses. Look closely at what they actually teach and most are selling IdentityIQ — or, more confusingly, something they still call "IdentityNow". Very few are teaching Identity Security Cloud as Identity Security Cloud, and almost none will tell you the one thing that decides whether you can genuinely learn it: whether you will get hands-on access to a real ISC tenant.

What is SailPoint ISC, and is it the same as IdentityNow?

SailPoint ISC (Identity Security Cloud) is SailPoint's cloud-native identity governance platform, and it is the same product that was marketed as IdentityNow until SailPoint rebranded it. If a Hyderabad institute advertises "IdentityNow training" in 2026, they are describing ISC using a retired product name — which usually signals course material that has not been refreshed in two years.

The distinction matters more than a name change suggests. SailPoint IdentityIQ (IIQ) is the on-premises product, configured largely through XML objects and BeanShell rules. SailPoint ISC is multi-tenant SaaS, configured through Identity Profiles, transforms, workflows and REST APIs. The governance concepts carry across — identities, entitlements, roles, access profiles, certifications, separation-of-duties policies — but the day-to-day mechanics are genuinely different tooling. Who is hiring SailPoint ISC in Hyderabad right now?

Hyderabad had 141 SailPoint ISC-related openings listed on Naukri on 26 August 2026, out of 917 nationally. Employers advertising ISC or broader SailPoint identity roles in the city on that date included UST, Charles Schwab, Deloitte, Providence Global Center, Medtronic, Lloyds Technology Centre, PepsiCo, Accenture, IBM, Electronic Arts and HCA Healthcare.

Two things stand out in that list. First, most are global capability centres rather than Indian IT services firms — Charles Schwab, Providence, Lloyds, Medtronic and Electronic Arts all run captive centres in Hyderabad, and captives tend to run their own identity programmes rather than outsource them. Second, the job titles are increasingly explicit: UST advertised a role titled "SailPoint ISC Developer", not a generic SailPoint requisition. Employers have started hiring for the platform by name.

The direction of travel is the useful part. ISC has led IIQ in Indian job listings since mid-2026 and the gap held steady across those seven weeks, even as total SailPoint listings fell. Should you learn ISC or IdentityIQ first in 2026?

For most Hyderabad professionals starting from zero, SailPoint IdentityIQ remains the more practical entry point in 2026, despite ISC having more listings. IIQ teaches the governance fundamentals in a form you can actually practise, and a large share of Hyderabad ISC roles ask for IIQ experience alongside — because the people doing migrations need to understand both sides.

IdentityIQ is not being retired. SailPoint continues to maintain it, Identity University still publishes IdentityIQ-specific certification paths, and enterprise migrations run for years, not months. The realistic sequence for a career-switcher is to build governance fundamentals on IIQ, then add ISC — which is why dual-platform IIQ and ISC skills appear so often in senior job descriptions. What does SailPoint ISC training actually cover?

A credible SailPoint ISC syllabus covers tenant architecture, source and connector configuration, Identity Profiles, transforms, access profiles and roles, provisioning, certification campaigns, separation-of-duties policies, workflows and the ISC REST APIs. If a course outline reads identically to an IdentityIQ syllabus with the word "cloud" inserted, it is an IIQ course wearing a new label.

The practitioner-recommended learning order, drawn from the SailPoint Developer Community, runs: Sources, then Roles, then Access Profiles, then Entitlements, then Identity Profiles, then Transforms, and finally Workflows, Certifications, SoD policies and Forms. That order matters because ISC objects reference each other — transforms make little sense before you understand how Identity Profiles map attributes from a source.

What does SailPoint ISC training cost in Hyderabad?

Published SailPoint training fees in Hyderabad ranged from roughly Rs. 8,000 for recorded self-paced content to about Rs. 45,000 for premium classroom programmes, based on institute pricing pages observed in August 2026. Most of those are IdentityIQ courses. Genuinely ISC-specific syllabuses tend to come from non-local providers, and several of those do not publish a price at all.

The tenant problem: how do you get hands-on ISC practice?

There is no free public sandbox tenant for SailPoint Identity Security Cloud. This is the single biggest obstacle to learning ISC, it is the most frequently repeated question on the SailPoint Developer Community, and it is the question Hyderabad institute pages almost never answer.

The community answers are consistent and worth knowing before you pay anyone. Practitioners on the SailPoint Developer Community report that tenant access realistically comes from three places: your employer's sandbox tenant if you already work for a SailPoint customer, a partner organisation's tenant, or the SailPoint Ambassador programme — which requires accumulating 400 community points and runs on a quarterly cycle. One senior community member put the constraint plainly in a March 2026 thread: "There is no other possibility as per my understanding."

A second community observation explains why self-study stalls: "For ISC, there are not many direct blogs or Video Tutorials." Compared with IdentityIQ, the free written material for ISC is thin, and much of what exists on YouTube is IdentityNow-era and out of date.

This is also the honest reason SailPoint Academy has not rushed the ISC course to market. Running it properly requires solving tenant access for every student, not just showing screenshots. That is what the waitlist exists to sequence.

What do SailPoint ISC roles pay in Hyderabad?

ISC-specific salary aggregates barely exist yet, which is worth saying plainly rather than papering over. AmbitionBox reported a typical range of Rs. 7.3–8.1 lakh per year for "SailPoint Developer" in India from 528 reported salaries as of 26 August 2026, but does not separate ISC from IdentityIQ. 6figr listed an average of Rs. 18.9 lakh for the SailPoint skill in India, with most profiles between Rs. 14.0 and Rs. 29.7 lakh, from only 28 verified profiles — too thin a sample to headline.

Live job postings are currently better ISC evidence than salary aggregators. On 26 August 2026, an Identity Platform Engineer (SailPoint ISC) role in Hyderabad advertised Rs. 6.9–18.99 lakh per year; a SailPoint IdentityIQ L3 Administrator role in Hyderabad for 7–9 years' experience advertised up to Rs. 22 lakh; and Electronic Arts listed a Hyderabad security engineering role at Rs. 12–25 lakh for 2–6 years.
